DOT education helps teachers learn makerskills and apply them in the classroom
DOT manufacturing education
Making education is learning by making, trying things out, making mistakes and building on them. It aims to teach students new techniques and skills with which they can later apply technology responsibly and solution-focused in a sustainable society.
As a teacher, starting with maker education is not always easy. How do you make the techniques your own? How do you deal with the different levels of your students? And how do you integrate the techniques into the curriculum at school? In the DOT makenonderwijs you can work with a group of enthusiastic colleagues to create a learning environment in which the curiosity of your students is stimulated and they can develop their creativity. Want to get involved?
In the DOT (Docenten Ontwikkel Team) you school yourself and each other in the various techniques that come together in a Fablab (a public digital workshop) or an E-lab. Various themes will come up, from virtual reality to 3D printing, from programming to the Internet of Things. Under the guidance of experts from the Fablab Groningen, you will work on one or more topics of your choice. As a participant, you will learn from a practical and free work format to deal with these techniques and turn your inspiration and ideas into concrete lessons. The experts of Fablab Groningen offer support and where possible the means to make applicable lessons. Together we want to work towards a number of lessons as a final product.
