3D printing: basic course

The course will last about two hours. It is helpful to bring your own laptop so you can learn to model in Tinkercad, a simple online 3D drawing program (Tinkercad is browser-based and needs no installation).

After the course, you will be able to operate a 3D printer yourself and create simple 3D models. Note: 3D printing still takes quite a long time, so don't expect to go home with your own print the same evening. You do receive a token for a discount on your first 3D print at the Fablab after participating in the course.

Maximum number of participants: 10 (min. 5)

Are there more than 10 participants or do you have questions? Please leave a message.

Start time: 19:00
End time: 21:00

Cost: €55,00

Everyone has heard of them by now: 3D printers. For many, perhaps a device reserved only for techies. But nothing could be further from the truth!

Once every 2 months the Fablab organizes an accessible basic 3D printing course. Great for people without (but also with) a technical background who want to learn more about this new technique.

The basic course covers the following topics:

  • The idea behind the 3D printer

  • How does it work, what are the parts?

  • Basic principles of 3D modelling

  • Slicing a model and preparing a printer

  • Basic problem solving with your first print
